Customer Testimonials

  1. I was 37 years old with a family history of high cholesterol and high blood pressure. I have 2 children under the age of 5. When I tried to play with them, I could tell that I couldn’t play with them very long before I got tired and had to rest. I had lower back pains and my joints were always aching. My doctor told me to get some exercise to help maintain my health or he would have to prescribe me pills for the rest of my life to control the cholesterol and blood pressure levels. That’s when I tried to exercise on a regular basis on my own. I even did a round of P90X. I found out that I enjoyed working out with other people more than I did solo. The additional people helped me stay motivated as they were there with the same goal to get in shape and lose some weight. That’s when I started going to The Jym in March 2012. It was a great option for me. The Jym offered classes in the morning before work or in the evening after work. The very first day of class, Jerome worked with me on my technique and stance on how to throw a proper boxing punch. From that day on I was hooked with the class. As I attended more classes, I could tell that my balance and coordination had improved. My stamina had improved. I even went to my first 5K Mud Run in October of 2012 and then the Holiday season came. All the weight I had lost and all the stamina I had gained was gone. In Jan 2013, I decided to go on an eating program recommended to me by Jerome. As most people are about diet plans, I was skeptical. Was it just your typical diet? Would I gain the weight back when I went off the food? Did the food actually taste good? After being on the meal plan for 1 month, I learned how to eat better and learned how to eat with portion control. I saw results within the first couple of weeks. As of June 2013, I am down around 30 pounds, lost 4 inches around the waist and have maintained my weight eating right and eating better portions. I easily run several miles and I plan on doing a 10-12 Mile mud run in October 2013. I can play with my children for an extended period of time. Thank you to Jerome Davis and The Jym for making this possible!
